About
Inception
ANZAC day was originally a commemoration of the Landing of the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps at ANZAC Cove, Gallipoli on the 25th April 1915.
During WW1
During World War 1 ANZAC Day evolved into a commemoration of the fallen at Gallipoli, as well those lost in subsequent battles.
Post WW1
Since World War 1, ANZAC Day has become the celebration of both the past and present members of the Defence Force, as well as the commemoration of the fallen.
Date, Time & Location
The Service is held on the 25th of April, at 5:25am in the back car park of Club Pine Rivers (1/11 Sparks Rd, Bray Park, QLD 4500).
